Cassie Chadwick and Zelma Watson George

Cassie L. Chadwick (10 October 1857–10 October 1907) is the infamous name used by a Canadian woman who defrauded several U.S. banks out of millions of dollars by claiming to be an illegitimate daughter and heiress of Andrew Carnegie.

Zelma Watson George (December 8, 1903 – July 3, 1994) is a well known African American philanthropist who is famous for being an alternate in the United Nations General Assembly and, as a headliner in GianCarlo Menotti’s opera The Medium, the first African-American to play a role that was typically played by a Caucasian actress.
