Philanthropy
The College Club has continued to maintain a balance among its social, educational, and philanthropic goals. The dispensing of funds for scholarships and for charitable work has been the main thrust of the club’s philanthropies.
Programs
Members enjoy luncheons on the 2nd Wednesday of the month and dinners on the 4th Thursday, followed by programs. These provide mental stimulation and recreation through lectures, concerts, dance performances, and other presentations on topics of current interest, and are held at the Shaker Heights Country Club. Special Interest Groups
ARCHERY – The group meets periodically at the Metroparks’ York Road Archery Range.
BOOK DISCUSSION – The group meets the third Friday of the month to discuss a selected book.
COOKING GROUP – The group meets quarterly on a Sunday afternoon and prepares a themed meal together.
GAMES NIGHT – The group meets on the second Saturday of the month and rotates among members’ homes.
GENEALOGY – The group meets on the third Tuesday evening of the month.
OUT & ABOUTs – Monthly visits to places in Cleveland we’d like to know more about.
THEATER GROUP – The group attends the full season of Cleveland Play House Sunday matinee performances.
